Based on the special construction inside the earbud cavity and to fully harness and utilize resonances, an all-new bass cavity design was made for the FF3. This cavity works more effectively to bring out the texture of bass notes as well as accurately reproduce the timber of music with surprising agility.
We also made full use of the internal space of the FF3's housing to fit a bass-enhancing acoustic tube within. This tube extends the airflow path, increases air damping, and improves sound damping to lower the resonance point of the earphones for amazing bass performance.
Good sound not only comes from the size of the driver, but also from the materials it is made of. After many tests by the FiiO R&D team, a 14.2mm large dynamic driver with beryllium-plated dome + PU gasket diaphragm was chosen for the FF3.
Not only does the bass come through wonderfully, mid-frequency human voices are lush and the treble also has been greatly improved.
The FF3 cable comprises of 152 total wires made of high-purity silver-plated monocrystalline copper. The silver-plating material can improve treble resolution while reducing unwanted sibilance. 3 types of sponge covers are included for different kinds of sound – bass- enhancing, balanced, and transparent treble-focused. Moreover, the swappable 3.5/4.4mm audio plugs are included in the FF3, so you can switch either whenever you need to.
FiiO FF3 include 9 pair of sponge covers. 3 sets each of Bass, Balanced & Highs focused foam covers. Each style alters the sound slightly so that you have some degree of tuning based on the ear cushions you choose.!
