For such an affordable headphone, there was an unusual level of engineering put into maximizing the sound quality. Take the driver (speaker) in the headphone for instance - FiiO's research led them to develop a large 40mm driver with the center portion Sapphire Coated. These materials and this driver composition were found to improve the level of detail and clarity while reducing distortion, improving the audio performance.

Noise Cancelling and Transparency Modes

FiiO EH13 uses a hybrid style ANC system, with both feedforward and feedback mics, helping to reduce background noise, especially lower sounds like plane and train noise. Choose from three intensity levels based on your surroundings, High (noisy area), Medium (office, typical background) and Low (environmental awareness, hear your surroundings).

EH13 also has Smart ENC technology to reduce background noise while making calls, improving your call quality and clarity. EH13 uses its 5 built in mics to focus on your voice for a great experience with zoom, meetings and daily calls. 

Battery Life is important and FiiO worked to balance light weight with a long battery life, to reduce the need for regular charging. EH13 has an approx. battery life of 45 hours with ANC engaged and up to 75 hours with ANC switched off! This allows you to use it daily and for most people, charge once per week. The headphones fold for storage and travel.
