FiiO Snowsky Echo Pure High Resolution Portable Audio Player - new 2026 model is an upgrade of the incredibly popular Echo Mini. 

Echo is still a music player for your own files - there are no apps, streaming or wifi here. Load your own files into the 8GB built in memory and use a micro SD card up to 256GB in size so you can play your music files anywhere, anytime, wired or over bluetooth out to your bluetooth headphones.

Upgrades from Echo Mini to Echo

The new 2026 Echo has several upgrades, including a metal body, larger, much more detailed screen (for touch screen see the DISC model) and upgraded DACs for improved audio quality. 

The body is made from a magnesium / aluminum alloy, with a more durable feel, sleeker build tolerances and rich colours / finishes. The look is more upscale. 

Cool Retro UI and On Screen Graphics

The retro UI graphics have been improved, thanks to the nice new screen and the images of a cassette tape playing while listening to your music look cooler and more real than ever! There are lots of options to choose from, from the fun bouncy lights of an audio analyzer to cool vu-meters, album art so you can quickly ID your music and the cool cassette themed images during playback.

The screen has grown from 2", 170 x 320 pixels, up to 2.39" 222 x 480 pixels, for much clearer images with easier to read details. There are handy built in EQ presets, easy to use and change from one to the next. There is also a custom EQ that allows you to make fine adjustments and tune in the sound just the way you like it! 

Upgraded DAC for Improved Fidelity

FiiO Snowsky Echo uses higher end DAC chips than the Echo Mini - the Echo uses Two Cirrus CS43198 chips. Enjoy superior audio quality, through earphones, headphones of via line out to an amp or powered speakers. Echo also works a a usb/DAC - connect your computer via usb-c and connect your headphones into Echo. 

Battery life is rated at approx 14 hours, with usb-c recharging, so it likely uses the same charging routine as other electronics you already own. 

With headphone like the FiiO Snowsky Wind wired on ear headphones, that have inline audio controls, these controls will work with the new Echo - making it more convenient for daily use.
